About the Hosts
Stephen Bogart
Stephen Bogart has been in the entertainment business for more than 30 years and is the son of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
In 2002, Steve was an executive producer and producer of the critically acclaimed Arts and Entertainment documentary , New York at the Movies. He also created the award-winning short for Showtime, Personal Assistance, starring Kathie Lee Gifford and written by Tony Award winner Charles Busch.
His television news and entertainment experience spans 2 decades and includes stints as Producer for the Today Show and CBS's Early show, as well as a field producer for The Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. In 1988, Steve moved to Tampa, FL, as Executive Producer at WFLA-TV, where he helped develop the hugely successful Live at Five format. In 1991, he returned to New York as producer for the newly formed Court TV, brought Steve back to the New York area.
Steve is also a successful author, publishing two mystery novels Steve became a successful author, publishing two mystery novels Play it Again, and The Remake, and, in 1995, he published his best selling memoir Bogart; In Search Of My Father.
John Mulholland
John Mulholland is a Senior Vice President of MODA Entertainment. He wrote and directed Cooper and Hemingway: The True Gen, a documentary exploring the friendship of two-time Academy Award-winning actor Gary Cooper and Nobel Prize-winning author Ernest Hemmingway. Mulholland also wrote and directed both: Inside High Noon, on the behind-the-scenes controversy during the filming of High Noon; and Of God and Country: Sergeant York.
He is currently in pre-production on Bogart and Huston: Quite Irreplaceable, a documentary on the professional and personal relationship between Humphrey Bogart and John Huston.
Among his other documentaries: On MacBeth, Eastern European Composers, Charles Dickens and A Christmas Carol, Liza Minnelli on Meet Me in St. Louis, Reflections on Gaslight, and As Time Goes By: The Children Remember on Casablanca. Mulholland has written for both newspapers and magazines.
Meir Ribalow
Meir Ribalow is artist-in-residence at Fordham, where he teaches various film courses. A graduate of Princeton (as a University Scholar), he has previously taught at Rutgers (Graduate School); Ithaca College, London; and has been a guest teacher at Princeton, Wesleyan and numerous other schools. He was film columnist for The Sciences magazine and has appeared as film historian on The Discovery Channel and on several upcoming DVD releases of classic films. Two dozen of his plays have received over 170 productions worldwide, including at The Dublin Abbey Theatre and numerous times in London and NY. They have won awards in London, New York, and regionally. His work is published and anthologized. He has won national awards for fiction, his widely published poetry, and musical lyrics; co-written ten childrens books; and published articles on film, theatre, literature, travel, sports, music, and chess. Co-author of three books on sports, he is Director of an award-winning sports website. Several of his screenplays have been optioned. He is Artistic Director of New River Dramatists, and has directed plays in London and New York with Blythe Danner, Brian Dennehy, Eli Wallach, Zero Mostel, Christopher Walken, and many others. He was Joseph Papps Production Associate at the NY Shakespeare Festival, Vice-President of The Creative Coalition with President Alec Baldwin, and International Arts Coordinator of The Global Forum, where he worked with The Dalai Lama and Mikhail Gorbachev.
